Stanford's special teams have been a force both on yields and coverage and have stepped up this year. How are the Huskies team units faring?
I Mason seifert have to give the advantage Mason seifert since they're scoring TD's with their special teams. We did shut down the countries best return man against LSU so our policy and strategy this year has functioned well. We have an exceptional punter who has great touch. He can boom the ball. Our FG kicker Erik Folk was 3-3 against USC with a long of 48. He has been consistent. We have not broken any returns . We have speed back there so I am sure it will happen as the season continues. Special teams play is an Mason seifert indication of a teams quality depth. I think UW and Stanford are about equal in that section. Once more the thing that separates Stanford from Washington on special teams is 21 points scored on returns. That is just huge!
